Sex & The City 2 Movie Poster

So here is the official SATC2 movie poster teaser featuring none other than Carrie Bradshaw herself!  …My humble opinion?  So totally not impressed.  When I see it, I don’t feel “carried away”.  I don’t like the color scheme much and I just really don’t think they captured the pizzazz of Sex & The City

Regardless, I still look forward to the movie.  I’m trying to stay away from all of the movie news because I want to go in with a totally clear head, but I’ve been reading that my (ahem…) boyfriend, Aidan, may be making an appearance on the sequel.

I hope it’s only a rumor because I really liked the guy and felt that he was in so many ways too good for her and too down to earth to handle her eccentricities.  …But don’t hate me - opposites do attract.

The Carrie Diaries

With all the SATC 2 buzz going on, it only seems fitting that SATC creator, Candace Bushnell, is planning to release “The Carrie Diaries” in late April 2010.  We’ll all get to know Carrie Bradshaw before her Sex & The City days!

So get ready for the 80’s to make a huge comeback!  When the book releases, we’ll get the chance to delve into Carrie’s adolescent and young adulthood life – see what kinds of relationship struggles she has and find out how she ultimately became a sex columnist.

Carrie Bradshaw Dior Newspaper Dress

Look at that dress – look at those shoes!  Here’s Carrie Bradshaw in a Newspaper Dior Dress, apparently heading out for a big date (so the rumor goes).

This newspaper dress was designed by John Galliano for Christian Dior for the Spring 2000 Ready-To-Wear Collection. It’s vintage now and Galliano no longer works for Dior, so don’t count on finding it at any retailers.

And the shoes?  WoWzErS!  These are fabulous Christian Louboutins.  Deemed the Bridget Strass, this creation is appropriately categorized under “Total Madness” on the Louboutin website – “Briget Strass – Bridget was THAT girl at school who had everthing, this is her shoe.”  It’s a girlish mix of delicate, flower-patterned lace juxtaposed with a loud, chunky gold heel.

Carrie Bradshaw "J'adore Dior" Morocco

THE LATEST:

Sex & the City 2 is going international!  Here’s Carrie Bradshaw in Marrakech, Morocco (Africa), filming for the upcoming SATC 2 in yet another one of her cute fashion ensembles.

In keeping with the Muslim country’s more modest dress code, Carrie’s covering her shoulders, chest and legs in a full lavendar skirt, ‘J’Adore Dior’ T-shirt and a silver bolero.  And, of course, as we expect, she’s still rocking out the beloved heels.

Meanwhile, best pal Miranda has swapped her power dressing for a Death On The Nile-style white outfit and hat.

The two fashionistas were spotted pavement-pounding in their heels through old Marrakech’s main square, Djemaa El Fna.  Producers are remaining tight-lipped about the plotlines and what exactly brings Carrie and Co. to Morocco.

…Could it be that Carrie and Big are travelling to the north African country to adopt a child?

Sex And The City costume designer Patricia Field told People magazine: ‘We’re shooting there for about six weeks…You’ll probably see belly dancers and Bedouins.’

Sarah Jessica Parker Elle December 2009

Okay, so this isn’t “Carrie Bradshaw”, but this is who I love Sarah Jessica Parker as.  And this woman can wear just about anything and pull it off!

Sarah Jessica gets personal in this issue, talking about diapers, her 2 new baby girls, and her 2 upcoming movies, Did You Hear About the Morgans coming out December 11th, and, of course, the eagerly anticipated Sex & The City 2, releasing circa May 2010.

Here’s a teaser for the article:

left quotationSarah Jessica Parker may have a number of best-selling fragrances, but the “Sex and The City” star says in the December issue of ELLE that it’s a less flowery smell that she loves. “I love the smell of diapers; I even like when they’re wet and you smell them all warm like a baked good,” she said.

Parker is on double diaper duty these days thanks to the arrival of twin daughters Loretta and Tabitha, who were delivered by a surrogate earlier this year — but the star said that son, James Wilkie, got involved with the process, too.

“He told me he really wanted Marion to be in the mix,” Parker said of baby names for Loretta — who is indeed Marion on her birth certificate. “We thought, ‘Are we crazy? Do we let our son name one of the girls? Is that the right thing to do? Is it important for him?’ And then he goes, “And I want it legal.”

While the world loves her as Carrie Bradshaw, Parker said she hopes her daughters feel the same way once they grow up. “First of all, I have a fear that they’re not going to like me,” she said. She can always bribe them with her considerable wardrobe, however.
“The only tragedy would be if their feet are bigger than mine,” Parker said.
